A little bit about me…

My name is Ben Schooley.

I’m 44 and have been a single father since 2006 where I quickly learned of the pitfalls of family law and how, unless you are willing to throw endless sums of money at lawyers, you can have a rough go of things.

I had 50/50 of my 2 children from my 1st marriage, with my youngest being 9 months at the time, and have loved every second of it since.

Unfortunately, I married a 2nd time, had a 3rd child…and the wheels came off the bus for me.

I will spare you the ins and outs of my journey, but as many of you will understand, it was a nightmare.

What ultimately happened is that I made the choice to go Pro Se, learned the Family Code as well as most any attorney and received an education I never wanted. After 40+ hearings, countless motions of enforcement, sanctions, modification, and even a recusal, I emerged confused with what to do with my new knowledge.

I began to help countless people in an informal format and just shared what I could with people, but I became discouraged with the passion and focus that some people will put toward their own case. Over time I considered my options, and the Pro Se Coach was born.

I’m not a lawyer and will not give you legal advice, but I CAN help you.

…and much more.
