About Ben
I have represented myself in more Pro Se hearings than most lawyers have participated in.
I have had 50/50 of 2 kids since 2006. I enjoy a wonderful relationship with the children’s mother, we’ve never been to court, and life was as good as it could be for a single dad.
But then my 2nd marriage failed after having my 3rd child.
What followed was an education I never wanted. Dozens of hearings, countless motions, hours upon hours of case law research, argument preparation, and strategy formation. The 4 year education was intense, and I came out the other side a rather shattered individual.
However, I also discovered very quickly that I had accumulated information and knowledge that are overwhelmingly valuable to those unlucky enough to be on the same adventure I was on. I have stacks upon stacks of case law files, constitutional law, and parental rights arguments accumulated across thousands of sources. I have recused judges, participated in legislative sessions, and even had one Judge voted out of office. I’ve worked with the Texas BAR on complaints regarding crooked attorneys, had biased therapists removed, fought through false allegations, and have pretty much seen it all. And to this day, I still sit in on court typically once a week just to keep my finger on the pulse of procedure and judicial rulings.
But after all of that, I was still just a Dad, which was my most important trophy. I know that your role as parent is paramount for you as well, and at the end of the day, I just want to help you retain that role. If you feel like your role as a loving parent is being minimized or has been completely taken away, let’s talk. Our mission
Family law is a confusing circus. Our mission is to help you put together a “plan”, to execute it with your end goals in mind, and to do so in a logical and planned path that best ensures your sanity, preserves what you hold dear, and ultimately provides you with success.
What we ask of you
Just do your homework. That’s it. Work on what we’ve agreed to work on, do the homework assigned, give us your best effort…and we promise you’ll receive the same from us.

Will you act as my attorney?
No — we’re not attorneys. We cannot represent you at any time. Nor can we give you any advice that can be construed as “legal advice”. But what we CAN do is make sure you walk in prepared, informed, and never alone.
If you’re not my attorney, what can you actually do for me?
Handling your own family law case is like juggling. There’s a lot going on. What we do is meet with you to develop a plan of attack, assist you with executing that plan, back you up with research and suggestions for that plan to be most effective, ensure that your motions and pleadings are top-notch, prepare you for trial and/or hearings, and even help with responding to opposing counsel emails.
Basically, we function like your own back-end administrative team to help you do the things that you might not know how to do today…but you will. Oh, and we’ll save you thousands upon thousands of dollars.
How much do you cost?
The book is $35, and Pro Se University is $49/month — you can see both on our pricing page. One-on-one coaching is different: every case is unique, and every cost is just as unique. Book a $20 consult call and we’ll go over your situation and quote you a cost to handle what you’re currently dealing with.
Most attorneys in Texas are in the $250/hr+ range, and they frequently go to over $600/hr. We also have zero ability to “drag” your case out. Most attorneys actually work with the other attorney to ensure max litigation (cost) until one or both parties run out of money, but in our case, when you are ready to settle your case…it’s over. We shake your hand and give you CONGRATULATIONS. We do NOT hope for ongoing conflict. EVER.
Will you type up the legal paperwork for me?
No. We’re not attorneys, and we can’t practice law. However, we can help you review examples of what you want to do, give suggestions on how best to do it, review the motions/paperwork with you to ensure maximum effectiveness, and help you with the filing process. While legal paperwork can seem daunting, once you get into the actual process, you’ll find that with our support it’s quite manageable.
What is the 1st step?
Book your consult call. Give us the basics (keep it short and sweet), then let’s get on the phone and dig in a little deeper so that we can understand the true issues of your case. We’ll lay out a plan for you, along with a cost to make it happen.
Can I cancel?
At any time. For any reason. Without “penalty” of any kind. We’ll shake your hand and wish you well.
Can I “win”?
We will never guarantee results, but we will guarantee that if you follow our plans, you will absolutely advocate for yourself and your children moreso than any LAWYER ever will. Results might not be what you want, but you’ll forever know you gave your best efforts.
