Who we are
Pro Se Coach Tx, LLC (“Pro Se Coach,” “we,” “us”) is a coaching service for people representing themselves in Texas family law matters. You can reach us at prosecoachtx@gmail.com or 830.507.3250.
Pro Se Coach is not a law firm and Ben Schooley is not an attorney. Nothing you share with us is protected by attorney-client privilege. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to send us.
What we collect
- What you give us directly. Your name, email address, phone number, and the answers you type into our booking form — which include details about your case, your hearings, and what you want to happen.
- Our conversations. Emails you send us and we send you, text messages, and notes we take about your case so we can help you consistently over time.
- Coaching calls. Our Zoom calls are recorded as audio and automatically transcribed, so we can write up what we covered and send it to you afterward.
- Payments. When you pay us, our payment processor collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number — we only see the card’s brand, its last four digits, its expiry, and whether a payment succeeded.
- Course activity. If you enroll in Pro Se University, we record which lessons you’ve opened and completed, so the course can track your progress.
- Website use. Standard information your browser sends when you visit prosecoachtx.com, plus analytics that tell us which pages people read.
How we use it
- To coach you: prepare for calls, review your paperwork, and follow up afterward.
- To run the business: schedule calls, send agreements, issue invoices, and take payment.
- To stay in touch: send you the recap after each call, reminders before calls, and occasional emails about our services.
- To improve the site and course.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Who else touches your information
We use outside services to run things. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Stripe — payments and card storage.
- Zoom — video calls, recordings and transcripts.
- Google — our calendar and our email.
- Supabase and Vercel — the database and hosting behind our client system.
- SiteGround — website and email hosting.
- MailerLite — our newsletter and signup forms.
- Bunny.net — course video delivery.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
How long we keep it
- Zoom recordings are deleted after 7 days. The written transcript and the recap we email you are kept with your file.
- Client records — emails, notes, invoices and recaps — are kept while you’re a client and afterward, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back and so our books stay accurate.
- If you ask us to delete your information, we’ll do it, except for anything we’re required to keep for tax or legal reasons.
Your choices
- Emails. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing stops the promotional emails; you’ll still get emails about calls you’ve booked and invoices you owe.
- Recording. If you’d rather a call not be recorded, tell us at the start and we’ll turn it off.
- Your records. Email us at prosecoachtx@gmail.com and we’ll tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it.
Keeping it safe
Your information is held in password-protected, access-controlled systems, and only Ben Schooley has access to client records. No system is perfect, but we treat what you share with us as private.
Children
Our services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Cases often involve children, and any details you share about your own children are treated as part of your case file.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
